Big Brother Revolution Africa
Sends Elizabeth Home... Elizabeth being show the Door
Fans greet Elizabeth after her eviction last night
-----Tanzania’s Elizabeth was evicted from the BIG BROTHER REVOLUTION during Sunday’s ninth live Eviction Show, leaving just 8 housemates in the running for the massive USD200 000 prize.
After Angolan hip hop star Big Nelo kicked off the show with his hit “Karga”, viewers saw some highlights of the week that was and were given a glimpse of Jeremy’s first day outside the house, it was time to get down to the serious business at hand.IK took the continent inside the house, for Head of House Edward to reveal who he had saved from possible eviction and who he had replaced them with.
Getting straight to the point,Edward told the housemates that he had saved“the only person I get along with, the only person who is cool with me, my little sister Mzamo”.He went on to reveal who he had switched her with:“I changed her with Elizabeth because she took out my twin brother and I miss my brother like nobody’s business”.Big Brother gave Elizabeth 5 minutes to pack her bag and she duly headed upstairs with a few housemates in tow, with Kevin helping her pack her bags.
After a few more inserts, one of which introduced Geraldine’s much-talked-about twin sister Jacqueline to the continent,Big Nelo told viewers he was completely behind Emma before performing another of his hits –“Eu Quero Mais Karga”.IK then called the Alexander Forbes representative on stage to hand over the dreaded envelope and confirm that the name it contained was indeed the correct one.
Having done so, it was time to reveal the news to the housemates and the continent. “The next housemate to leave the Big Brother house is…”said IK.“Elizabeth”.After sharing a long hug with Kevin and greeting the other housemates for the last time, she headed out of the door in the garden and joined IK on stage.Elizabeth revealed that she wasn’t shocked at being evicted because of her role in ending Edward’s twin brother Erastus home.
“Twin power, you know? It’s only a game and you have a good chance of being up for eviction,” she said.“You either get evicted or you win!”IK asked her about the most difficult part of being in the BIG BROTHER REVOLUTION house,to which she replied“I don’t want to say–it’s really personal, but I will say that I’ve learnt a lot about myself in the house and I know my mom is proud of me,” she said.
She felt that her time in the house had taught her to“let things go”and that it was possible to make really good friends in a very short time.IK’s line of questioning then turned to the thing everyone on the continent wanted to know about – her relationship with Kevin.“What’s going on?” he asked her.“Just because I have a man doesn’t mean I have to be mean, said the Tanzanian.“I have a man out there and I put myself in so much danger by getting close to Kevin. Kevin is one of the greatest people I have ever met and he knows things about me that not even my best friends know.”
“Naija boy,I love you!”she shouted.“That’s all I’ll say–he’s my best friend”.Then it was Molotov Cocktail time, with IK promising it was the worst one of the game so far.“It’s a blessing for most and a curse for one,”he read.“All housemates may receive a message from a loved one, except one.”Leaving Elizabeth to make that choice, after a long pause, she named Kevin.“Kevin, I know I’m going to get a message to your loved ones and I know you’ll be there ‘til the end.I’ll deliver a message to your sisters coz you know I have their numbers,”she assured her visibly-upset friend.
Moving on to his final questions,IK asked Elizabeth about the screaming match she had with Itai, in which he had called her“psycho”.“Don’t get into my business if I don’t let you in. It’s mine,” she replied. Asked about her ‘beef’ with Nkenna, Elizabeth declared that it wasn’t a beef and that she just couldn’t relate to the Nigerian.“She tried to be friends with me but it was fake,”she said. After viewing her highlights,IK asked her what she would miss most about the Big Brother house. “I’m gonna miss Kevin,”she told him.
With that,it was time for Elizabeth to depart, with IK reminding her that she left with USD 2809 in her money pot. Here’s how the continent voted: Elizabeth was the least popular in Angola,Botswana,Ghana, Malawi,Namibia,Uganda,Zimbabwe and Zambia. Her fellow nominees Emma and Nkenna were least popular in Ethiopia, Mozambique Nigeria and Rest of Africa and Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania respectively, splitting the vote 8-4-3.
